This concept, developed as part of a class project, was chosen by Douleur d’Avion for their new album mais alors and is now being realised.
The identity centres on a paper plane, defining layout, materiality and visual rhythm. Three principles structure the design: heavy vs. light – bright, summery music contrasts with lyrically heavier themes of digital change; composition – the folding structure reflects the mix of genres and personalities within the band; personal – handcrafted paper textures highlight the band’s close connection to their local audience.
